Product care guide

Designed to last. Made to be cared for.

At Souâd Feriani, sustainability begins with intention.
We design garments to be worn for years — not seasons.

Caring properly for your piece is the most powerful way to reduce its environmental impact.

The longer you wear it, the more sustainable it becomes.

Below you will find the care guidance per material.

A Sustainable Mindset

True sustainability is not about buying less only. It is about choosing well — and caring deeply.

Every extra year you wear your garment reduces its footprint.
Longevity is the ultimate luxury.

Silk

Silk is delicate, luxurious and naturally temperature regulating.

Silk is a noble fibre that can last for decades when respected.

To preserve its beauty:

  • Dry clean recommended
  • If hand washing: use cold water and a silk-specific detergent
  • Do not soak
  • Do not wring
  • Dry flat on a towel
  • Iron inside out at low temperature
  • Store away from direct sunlight

Tip: Avoid contact with perfume or deodorant directly on the fabric.

A well-cared-for silk piece becomes softer and more personal over time.

Cotton

Cotton is breathable, comfortable and easy to maintain.

Cotton is a resilient fibre that ages beautifully when treated with care.

To extend its life:

  • Wash at 30°C and a gentle cycle (handwash)
  • Wash only if necessary
  • Don’t wash dark colours after washing white garnments, this way don’t have white residue on your dark garnments
  • Turn garment inside out before washing
  • Avoid tumble drying
  • Iron at medium temperature
  • Dry flat or hang to dry naturally

Tip: Frequent washing is not always necessary. Airing your garment often preserves both fabric and colour. Less washing means less energy, less water, and longer-lasting fibres.

Wool

Wool is naturally breathable, insulating and self-cleaning. Built to endure.

Wool rarely needs washing. Its fibres regenerate naturally through airing.

For longevity:

  • Air after wearing
  • Wash only when truly necessary
  • Dry clean or hand wash cold (if allowed by label)
  • Use wool detergent
  • Do not rub or wring
  • Dry flat
  • Store folded (not on a hanger)

Tip: Wool rarely needs washing. Often airing is sufficient.

Wool is one of the most sustainable fibres when worn for many years.

Cady

 Structured. Fluid. Enduring.

Cady is a refined fabric known for its elegant drape and subtle structure.
It combines strength with softness, making it ideal for garments designed to last for years.

For long-lasting beauty:

  • Dry clean recommended
  • If washing is allowed on the care label: use a gentle handwash at low temperature
  • Avoid tumble drying
  • Dry hanging
  • Steam lightly to restore its fluidity
  • Store on a hanger to maintain shape

Tip: Cady maintains its silhouette exceptionally well when cared for properly.
With mindful treatment, it remains as powerful and elegant as the day it was first worn.

Taffeta

Taffeta is structured and elegant with a crisp finish.

Taffeta maintains its architectural beauty when properly stored.

To maintain its form:

  • Dry clean only
  • Avoid steam directly on the fabric
  • Store on a hanger to preserve shape

Tip: Avoid prolonged pressure or folding to prevent permanent creases.

Care preserves both structure and elegance.

Viscose

Viscose is soft, fluid and breathable.

Viscose remains beautiful when treated gently.

For lasting wear:

  • Wash at 30°C gentle cycle
  • Use mild detergent
  • Do not tumble dry
  • Reshape while damp
  • Iron inside out at low temperature

Tip: Viscose may feel slightly stiff after washing but regains its softness when worn.

With mindful care, its softness and drape remain intact.

Jewellery

Jewelry is delicate, precious and designed to be treasured for years to come.

With proper care, your piece will maintain its brilliance and elegance over time.

To preserve its beauty:

  • Store separately in a soft pouch or jewelry box to avoid scratches
  • Remove before showering, swimming or exercising
  • Avoid contact with water, perfume, lotions and cleaning products
  • Put jewelry on last when dressing
  • Clean gently with a soft, dry cloth after wearing
  • For deeper cleaning, use a mild jewelry cleaner suitable for the material

Tip: Protect your jewelry from humidity and extreme temperatures.

A well-cared-for jewelry piece retains its shine and becomes part of your personal story over time.
